Make a Referral

Every young person deserves someone in their corner.

If a young person is struggling, becoming disconnected or simply needs another safe and positive adult in their corner, you can contact Spotters Project directly.

We Accept

Referrals from every walk of life.

  • Parent and carer referrals
  • Family referrals
  • Initial self-referral enquiries may be made by young people aged 12–17. Appropriate consent, safeguarding assessment and program suitability checks will occur before participation
  • School referrals
  • OOHC and caseworker referrals
  • Community organisation and support-service referrals

Who can make a family or community referral?

A parent, legal guardian, carer or family member can submit an initial enquiry. Before a young person participates, Spotters Project will confirm consent, guardianship requirements, program suitability and any necessary safety information.

The standard Youth Referral pathway accepts new participants aged 12–17. For children under 12, or people aged 18 or over, please use our general Contact form so we can discuss whether another appropriate option or referral pathway may be available.

Young people must be aged 12–17 when entering the youth pathway. Participants who turn 18 after commencing may remain involved in accordance with their individual program plan, safeguarding requirements, available capacity and appropriate transition arrangements.
